We shouldn't make robots that can actually feel and think for themseleves. The whole point of them is to help us in everyday life, doing this will cause them to need rights (which I don't think everyone will want for them). Eventually we'll basically create another species. Also, if this happens I can see the robot vs human war theories coming true.
