In my rage baity comment on all this. Aren't these conventions full of "artists" who just copy Disney and comic book characters and other IP and then call it "Fan Art" to make money off the IP recognition of people buying it? I doubt that is what you call a TRUE artist. Seems like what they do at these conventions is the same thing you all say a.i does which is copy someone else work. Googling images of these conventions I can see "Artists" selling images of Pokemon characters, Disney, Cowboy Beebop, Deathnote, Avatar Last Airbender "Art" in ONE single booth photo taken at a convention. Just straight up drawing the characters on white backgrounds and charging money for it. So for people like this to get all angry because they feel like their art is getting "stolen" or "taken over" is just hilarious to me when some of these "artists" entire careers is just based around copying characters and designs that are already done and making money off it. But yea go ahead and be angry at the a.i and not the huge amounts of Disney IP infringement "Fan Art" all over the place including Etsy. Typical behavior from people like these. Hell I have seen Twitch "ART" streamers just flat out tracing over an image with their wacom and calling it "Fan Art". Kinda strange to point fingers and call people "grifters" when your "fan art" is a huge grift too.
