When I was a kid and my mom would drop me off to school, SHE ALWAYS PAID ATTENTION IF KIDS MAY JUMP OUT. Saying that "the kid just jumped out from behind a car in a school zone" and thinking it's a valid reason is insane. I've never seen a human driver hit a kid in a school zone, even with kids jumping out from all over the place. That's why people drive more carefully in school zones.....and if they don't, they get a massive fine and all sorts of other trouble. Waymo IS NOT being held to the same standards as people are, while Waymo also has 0% accountability for their vehicle's actions. This is insane. Ban these cars already, or make it so that Waymo's executives are legally responsible for their vehicle's actions.
