I worked with code generation with NOMAD in the 1980's. In one case, the system generated 20 pages of code that I ultimately boiled down to one page with no loss of functionality. I use Gemini to generate simple html and css, but it couldn't spot a problem caused by having a footer in the page. Many corporations wasted money building AI's from scratch. There are many examples of companies that make good use of AI, but there is a lot of human development behind those applications.
