I agree that the AI companies should pay into universal income if that will be used to resolve the AI replacement problem. I'm also for universal income for those people who have/will have lost their jobs due to being replaced by AI. But I also believe that companies that are cutting back on their workers, especially the big global corporations, should also, to some percentage at least, pay into UI since they're the ones who are falling for the so-called AI resolution and putting their profits before people. But what I really believe should be done is to put more laws and regulations on AI so it does not destroy the jobs of professionals, people who were formally educated and trained, and have a true/innate calling for their occupations. With all these dangerous jobs that most people don't want to do, why don't the AI pros concentrate on making innovations for those more? Why are they concentrating so much on making AI for tasks that would put other people out of work? That's not right!
