The narrative, told to us by Steve Jobs, was that the Segway was going to change urban areas forever, replacing the automobile completely. The next narrative was that Elio Motors was going to provide a car that gets 80 MPG and costs $8500. DARPA was going to give us self-driving cars. Now this. I'm getting skeptical of "the narrative".
