AI isn’t the problem, the person putting all responsibility onto it is, the thing that irritates me is the lack of training/practice a person needs before they can get a driving license, in the uk all you need to drive a car is a theory test and then a practical test (no lessons are needed), pass both and you can go and drive any car regardless of power output, yet for motorcycles you need to do a cbt (compulsory basic training, this only allows you to ride a bike up to 50cc if you’re 16 years old, then 125cc from 17+) as well as pass a motorcycle theory test, followed by module 1 (off road test on a open area with cones) then if you pass that you can do module 2 (on road test) pass that and you get a full motorcycle license, but, if you’re 16 you’ll only be fully licensed to ride a 50cc (full am licence), at 17 you’re restricted to 125cc (full a1 licence) then at 19 you can take the a2 test and be restricted to 250cc for another 2 years, then at 21 you can take the unrestricted A licence to ride any motorcycle, however 21 is the youngest you can get an unrestricted licence if you go through the progressive access route, but if say you’re 23 and want to start riding a bike and you want a tracer 900 as your first bike you need to be 24 in order to do the direct access route to get an unrestricted license, but you’ll have to begin with a cbt which will still limit you to a max of 125cc, then you can get lessons on a 600cc motorcycle to pass your mod 1 and 2 but you’ll still need to pass the motorcycle theory test before that. But little jimmy here has no issues getting a Lamborghini off his parents for his 17th birthday and being legally able to drive it around yet clearly not knowing how to control the vehicles power properly, let alone take responsibility for the fact he’s driving a 1+ tonne vehicle that can go from 0-60 in no time at all.
