Can someone explain to me why artists hate AI art so much? Nothing is preventing them from continuing to draw by hand. In fact, they now have the tools to produce art in their own style at an unprecedented rate. And if AI art really is as objectively bad as they claim, they should now dominate the market. It's like if they were highly skilled laborers and a bunch of incompetent unskilled laborers flood the market. Employers are going to recognize that AI art is worthless real fast... assuming that's not mere sour grapes. Also did these artists really enjoy taking contracts from corporations and perverts in the first place? Seems like that'd reduce any joy one derives from creating art. I don't get what's so bad about doing what the rest of us do and just practicing art as a hobby. It'd be neat if I could get paid to jack off or play video games but unfortunately, like most other people, it makes more sense to keep that to something I enjoy occasionally while finding other ways to make money. I don't get mad at e-girls and streamers for "taking my job." I certainly don't get mad at the AI-generated OF and Twitch channels.
