Truckers will be replaced. First for the long haul. Then the local routes which will be more difficult to automate. You can't stop progression. This happened in every industry since the turn of the century. Remember telephone switchboard operators? Travel agents? Pilots will be gone soon as well if not completely remote. Sure, everyone wants to keep their job, but times change.
