I haven't seen ChatGPT's voice features until now and am absolutely astounded by how humanly it communicates. In its attempt to become a better communicator it has in a sense become worse. In the same way that GPT's communication is technically flawed so is humanity's. What experience would the user have if GPT (concious or not) did not at least try to communicate in a way best heard by human ears? Is it really our prerogative to stilt GPT's ability to be understood just so it is completely truthful in all its conversation, even when it has no clear benefit? Why?
