I dont think AI will kill art.
Yes, maybe as a source of income or a stable career path, but also I believe this may not happen. Human made art is valued because of the care, work and time put into it. Art is made to be enjoyable, while creating and taking in the final project.
It’s like money — something we made up and gave value to as a way to embody all it is.
Human art is valued in exactly the same way. AI art does not hold the same value, simply because there is a void from where it came from. It’s all our silly ideas.
In a way AI is art itself. It is art created by doctors, engineers, mathematicians.
I dont think we should fear it, but we should also be mindful of how we use and evolve computer algorithms.
A lot of good can be done with educating people about how AI works.
I dont want us to become dogs scared of their own shadows lol
