I genuinely believe that this whole AI nonsense will end up fizzling out. It won't be the end all solution resulting in an utopia, it won't be the end of the world catastrophe. My prediction is that it will be a wave after wave after wave of consistently negative and dissappointing consequences of its applications. Eventually it will cause big enough financial strain that no bank or an individual will be willing to back these companies anymore. The bubble will pop, few very niche application of the technology will make it through, but over all it will end up disappearing from the market as something every company and every civilian will have an access to. 30 years from now, we all would have one hell of a story to tell our kids and grankids about.
