AI itself is not the issue; the issue is how some actors will continue to use it for questionable purposes. I imagine that among other things, identify theft, reputation attacks and framing people for crimes that they didn't commit will be far more far reaching with the use if these technologies. It may come to a point where the average person doesn't know what's real anymore, who's AI and who is human, etc. It will increase distrust and paranoia.
