I dont think that the AI will cause any catastrophic event. But I think it will destroy the world as we know it, more than the internet and the social network did. Before this the Radio and Cinema and TV had already changed the world culturally and politically, through music films news etc. But with just a few years of public Ai, I don´t know anyone who is not using it, and being benefited. As the smartphones and internet and gps gave us an unprecendented capacity of comunication. AI will give us an unprecedented capacity of intelligence and choice. So, in the next years the lies will fall, religions, politics, economics. Everything that is based on lies will be exposed and fail. Grok is a clear example. You cant plant narratives on X anymore! Lies are being uncovered in daily basis. So, its a great shift, a great leverage in evolution. Even to simple workers, everyone will be capable of much more. Its like having a specialist consultant in your field to guide you all the time! It doesn´t matter that the superintelligence will not solve all the problems in the universe, this is a problem of magnitude. If the superintelligence is 1000x more intelligent than men, and possess all knowledge of humanity online, its sentences will be like godly, and no one will be able to dispute. They will be definitive.
