I think that you're just wasting your own time in trying to do something like this.
I'm an Indie videogame developer and draw all my art myself. There are times that I have use for AI assist tho
and that is when scaling up the artwork in order to save time when I feel like re-using a piece for something else.
I've tried a lot of AI's and there are so many limitations, and they can not replicate my style, not a single one of them can.
The models and referances in their databases prevents them from doing just that. It can not draw new things,
nor uncommon behaviours of characters. Last thing I found trying Bing, which is free, ye wouldn't pay for AI stuff.
Is that it can not make people play their lips, I tried somewhere close to 50 different ways of prompts and it ended up
holding a finger to the side of the face or on their cheek most of the time. But never in between the lips.
I don't think that AI will go away, certainly not any time soon. I do believe that it should be regulated through licensing for the art it replicates.
Giving the original artist a negotiated coin for each generation. Obviously big artist would earn a lot more than small ones, but that's always the case.
Now I actually do enjoy the AI screw-ups. I think that they are hillarious. And that's also why I made a fake AI band just recently as one of my projects.
I'm calling it "Snot Rockers" because it's garbage lyrics but still for the most enjoyable listening but combined with crazy imagry of obscene fake people
doing crazy things. And I love keeping the obvious ai screw ups in the videos because I find them funny. It'll be much less funny when the AI models are too realistic.
But I'm sure that there will be worse engines still available for some time.
My view of the AI's. I do not feel threatened by them, I don't think that they'll ever be able to replicate my art because my art isn't
as popular and will probably never be adapted into an AI model. And the more I see the more convinced I am that it won't. Same thing could be said about music.
But the AI's are significantly more capable with music and are much easierly adaptable. Still can't create anything new tho. I've tried I pushed it a lot.
But the reason why Music AI's are a much bigger threat is because people are too locked into how and what a song should sound like.
This is why we only have three big song writers that write all the popular songs the last 30 years and they've been using the same model the entire time.
Which is very easy to replicate since it's nothing new. Bands that play live will never be threatened by AI tho. And don't ask chatgpt to write a song for you, it sucks bad 😛
The benefits is for indie devs that can not afford to hire music artists for a piece in their project. And I do think that they can be used as tools to enable people.
Eventho I believe that they'll more likely be abused.
