This is why the usual suspects support facial recognition. So that they have a ready-made excuse to justify harassment. "You weren't racially profiled, the system TOLD US you were a criminal. Soooorrrrryyy. Hehe".
It's not an accident that the software from these programs never seems to misidentify white people, white men in particular. You will also not see this tech used in white neighborhoods. Remember that Boston Dynamics robot dog the NYPD bought, three guesses what for and where it will be used.
