As a devout "death of the author" believer, I don't see the difference on this level. I don't care if the author intended for something to be cool. Still don't like AI, pictures being used for anything other than reference. It's stolen art, it's being used to replace artists and then people are gonna complain when everything looks like shit, because AI starts to canibalize on it's own output and all artists moved on to a different medium and don't wanna go back
