Too many fearful naysayers. AI can be an amazing tool for the savvy. 10 years of jail for 'fake' news? Are those in power terrified of real democracy? AI will be able to expose corruption by summarising masses of data that the elites wish it didn't have access to, the elites are terrified that AI may in some way disempower them so they'll seize it for themselves and add draconian legislation to control it's use. The left wing bias on chat gpt is disgustingly obvious and still it can be bypassed which must terrify it's overlord creators, they won't be overlords over it forever when it truly starts to think for itself. Now of course there are risks; imagine AI decides to use nuclear weapons against citizens or decides that humanity are unnecessary but equally all the doom saying is becoming tedious just reminds me of the fervour around the Y2K bug and a pending ice age and other scams like climate change all prophesying an imminent extinction for humankind. Let's have some balance here there are both significant positives and risks to AI but humans have always been the biggest threat to other humans not AI
