I realized there is one very important difference. When we humans read a novel, we do not accept every sentence and behavior as THE TRUTH and we do not embed everything into our personality. There may be villains, or "good" people doing unreasonable things. We take that with some distance, with empathy or condemnation etc, based on our prior moral and psychological development. This is very different to what happens during training of current LLMs.
They even do not have a deeply rooted personality, just a very superficial persona that may change with fine-training or prompt.
