Hi! Artist here. AI "art" is the devil, but as bad as it is for artists, it's bad for the environment too. From my understanding, each AI prompt generated takes 0.01 to 0.29 kw of energy depending on the size of the image. According to google, this can be like either charging your phone, or running a fuckin fridge. Things like chatgpt or those stupid "assistants" or whatever that companies are shitting out left and right, take WAAAY more. As 'fun' as it is to generate random images and stuff, don't touch that shit with a 9 foot pole, regardless of your intentions with the image. This is probably why most AI bros are also Crypto bros. anything for shitcoin and faking art, huh?
