Automation is to reduce the cost of things. If there is no cost then everything would simply be free. AI isn't going to replace all the jobs. AI is a strong more powerful version of ourselves. It still needs energy to run. If we do not have purpose do we think Ai has? Now AI still need humans to guide to produce the things humans need. If no direction is given does it even know what to do?
