Laws need to come in to place here where any deepfakes of a person is illegal. If the persons portrayed all have concented and collaborated on the making of the deepfake then they could apply for allowance to display it, but yeah. This is some scary technology. At one point it will be impossible to tell what is a real video clip of someone or not. On a geopolitical level I can see nations use this for all that its worth to sow confusion and dissent both among their own and other nations populace. Imagine Russian or Chinese intelligence services flooding youtube and other media with Deepfakes from western news outlets, politicians etc.
