The correct answer is that you can't when it's done correctly and that we need to prepare for that reality, somebody looking for the tells he mentioned are now worse off because when they encounter ai geneated content without them they are now susceptible to being duped.
I would say we need to focus on trusted sources like the abc but this video is an example of how thats not always something you can rely on.
What is in the pipeline is a way for cameras to produce a cryptographic signature that digitally signs photos when they are taken but that is a way off yet. For now i would assume everything is ai by default and try and determine its authenticity by consensus and chain of custody.
