I did a case study on COMPAS a couple of years ago in an AI Ethics course, and what I learned was startling. COMPAS has taken (and is still taking) innocent black folks to jail. And even more painfully, it's keeping them in jail with some opaque calculations. You captured the cases so accurately. Thanks.
