Narrow AI is what we are doing in reality. General Super Intelligence as it stands is likely to run away in unpredictable directions. ASI is probably more of a routing problem between different Narrow AIs, and the scaling is going to be across a grid of compute. Like our own brains which have speciality areas, we have enough compute already for one super brain. It’s the connectivity that will get us there. We have the means right now. Once the routing problem is buttoned down we’ll be up and away.
