As a blender artist it is really annoying to see people do this sorta thing and defend AI's. Especially when you literally watched and followed the progress of these neural network stuff for YEARS out of curiosity in use cases where they are actually interesting. But when you try to explain how neural networks function, they will claim "that is your belief, this is my belief, we do not know what these AIs actually do" this is literally fallback arguments they use. They act like flat earthers or creationists who will blatantly deny facts over their own personal opinions. Gen AI are nothing more than sophisticated predictive algorithms ran on neural networks. They try to predict images based on knowledge they already know. They are actually so good at predicting based on images they already have that gen AI engineers have to implement code to try to brute force more randomization to make it look less like the original inputs. Some of this is also apparently why AI art still looks very AI after this time...
