The scenario you described will only happen if AI remains solely under the control of Big Tech. Remember, when DeepSeek was launched, it actually shook up the market and impacted tech stocks.
If everyone has access to AI and decent, affordable GPUs, we can break the Big Tech monopoly. for example, I recently installed an open-source AI locally. Technically, I have already replaced Google and ChatGPT for my own use. AI also gives individuals the power to build full projects alone—like music producers who now use AI to generate vocals instead of hiring singers.
So the companies should fear as well that we might replace there product as well
