Most readers probably don't care if an author is a writer or a director.
I just watched a video where a book editor shared examples from recent releases. The writing felt weak. In those specific cases, AI could have probably improved the text.
It will be hard for many writers to compete with people using a tool that acts like a thesaurus on steroids. These programs let you explore different styles and tones instantly.
Using samples in music was a similar experience. You suddenly focus on transitions, layering, textures, and building up tension. It becomes more about the arrangement and how everything is brought together to form a coherent vision.
AI feels similar. We begin to focus on the storytelling instead. You can learn so much about storywriting in a single day because you don't get bogged down in the details.
