On our Model S, the "recognition" of a bike happens way after that for a car or truck. This not only poses a risk of being rear ended when approached from behind, but also riding along side a Tesla or lane splitting as we do in California. The full self driving option will probably cause a changing of lanes as a bike is passing. For this reason I have to be extra vigilant passing one on a bike. Despite all this, the Tesla driver must agree to take over to prevent a collision before AP or FSD can activate.
