disabled artist here: firstly, we don't need any help from some tech companies trying to cash out, thanks. It's frankly insulting the insinuation that disabled artists are reliant on AI. Perhaps a controversial take, but if you don't make art, you're not an artist point period blank. So if you don't create art but you type into an AI art prompt and get an image, you aren't a fucking artist? If you have creative prompts in your head and your way of bringing them to life is through AI art you're a misguided writer at best. That being established, disabled *artists* are already well and capable of making art, that's what makes us artists. That's what makes us deserving of that title. AI is not art, AI is not helpful, AI is a billionaire's way of packaging up a product with a bow to make you feel special all the while keeping you from actually unlocking that special part of you. You have ability and talent, you don't need a dumb bot, you are so so so much more than someone who needs a robot to create for you, don't undervalue yourself OR those around you and their capabilities. Sorry that got a little rambley, I'm really sick right now so my thoughts aren't very coherent. TLDR fuck AI, we don't need it, we're artists without it, stop using us as a fucking token, also get some self confidence. respect the artists around you bc using AI art is so disrespectful to the creatives in your life.
