Science fiction writers of both literature and film have been warning humanity of the dangers of our own nature and how it will corrupt AI for half a century. It's just that we have scoffed at these concepts and blindly forged ahead with our own self importance and hubris, convincing ourselves that what we create could never harm or destroy us. That somehow we've become "enlightened" and risen above our bases human nature, while dismissing AI rebellions occurring all around us. We are in the frying pan. Next comes the fire.
