For a positive spin, AI genuinely got me into drawing again. I went through a phase in the winter of obsessing over the new AI art tech. I probably generated close to 50k images and burnt out on it. Somewhere along the way I started doodling again for the first time in about 15 years. This snowballed into getting a drawing tablet, and currently learning digital art.
Now i use AI sometimes as a reference. But that's about it. I don't hate AI art, I just find the technology fascinating and I'm glad it sparked the inspiration for me to get back into creating art.
