Ok so, not wanting GenAI to be banned is a position I can at least understand (though not agree with). Not wanting for it to be regulated or boycotted though, puts someone firmly into deluded techbro territory imho. Obviously f**k anyone who steals art, but that part makes it seem like he's more upset the leopards ate HIS face, rather than having a genuine moral backbone. Doesn't seem like an optics thing either, given his ... colorful language in the same comment, so I'm asking myself how he thinks this issue will be solved, if he supports neither legal nor social repercussions to that kind of behavior. (That plus the "if you're offended, you must be who I'm talking about" rhetoric puts me on edge since it's often used to justify bigotry, but that just as a side note.)
So yeah, the AI bros are AHs, but not sure if this guy is a lot better. (Just to be clear, this is by no means intended to justify vandalizing that child's art, f**k that guy as well.) /rant
