Judging a self-driving software by driving on this road is like judging a computer's "intelligence" by how fast it does additions and multiplications.
"follow the clearly marked lines" is easy decision-making for an AI. We had that since the 70s. Actually hard decisions are things like "is this kid running towards the road, or the older male and female adults standing nearby?", Something a human brain can decide at a glance, but immensely complex for a computer.
