As someone who owns 2 “full self driving” teslas
, I’d say it’s the best of both worlds. With some of the newer hardware it allows you to drive without the hands on the wheel. BUT you still need to pay attention… which is why I’d say it’s the best of both worlds. My older Tesla you need to keep a hand on the wheel regardless so it is more like “autopilot”.
The fully autonomous cars that’s a mess of its own for the reasons you shared. They need supervised.
Also just like humans driving… some are good and some are bad.
