I feel there is nuance in using AI as a tool for creative writing. As I use it a lot to help bring my vision to life. I'm the one coming up the the direction of where I want the story to go/original premise, who the characters are and how their personalities should be shaped. How I want the events to play out, how the worldbuilding should be. I bounce ideas off it, and it can offer some great suggestions and help polish and greatly saves me time (which is a finite resource). I've spent hundreds of hours reviewing and editing to slowly expand and build up the chapters over the last 6months etc (on chapter 6 now). I didn't just put in a half baked prompt and get a full book. So I think dismissing creative works that have human soul put into it; just because AI was involved in some way. Completely dismisses all the effort I've put in and others in similar situations have done. It reminds me of when the original Tron came out and they were called cheaters for using CGI. As long as people aren't having it be 100% done by AI and then passing it off as themselves. I'd encourage others to give it a try. It's an amazing time saving tool and gives great insight and helps you become a better writer.
