I think that bill gates idea to tax automation and AI agent's is genius. It could hypothetically allow the government to fund a UBI for citizens while allowing labor to be nearly fully autonomous while allowing the American consumer to choose which products and services they buy.... With a fully autonomous labor force, we could live in a world of abundance. Unfortunately many of those in power only desire to become more powerful. There is no end to greed, and I fear that this will be cause of a bloody revolution someday.
