You are correct it could. But that does not mean they will suffer. For example manual labor building etc may be enhanced but unlikely to be taken over by AI. The key is to look at the types of jobs affected and make a plan for these workers. Take auto manufacturing. AI can replace many workers. But at the same time US needs to rebuild its war machine to defend against China. There are cross training opportunities. What about Solar, sustainable and many more. It’s time government listened to Bernie. The key is not to block AI but to find and cross train new roles.
