I'm not gonna take sides on the use of AI art. I believe it has its place but is in no means a replacement for original art since it takes art to artificially create art. Original art shows depth and quality that AI generated art often misses. You can definitely create something that looks pretty for a simple amateur project, but to a trained eye there's plenty of flaws that stand out from an AI generated image if it's going to get used in something professional. Honestly AI art would be better in fields where people need simple artworks for websites they can't afford to pay otherwise or used in police profiling for ciminal cases, not for people to go creating artwork and uploading it to Deviantart as "their" work or creating misleading art to fool others into believing in something that's a complete fabrication.
