No, if it was truly smart it should have shifted lanes completely as soon as it detected someone was in the bike lane and not waited until they fell. If it shifted as soon as they were in range of the sensors then there would have never been a chance of hitting them. What if there were a car on there left and a car right behind them and it couldn’t have swerved or stopped. It would be better if it just shifted lanes earlier on or even better would be to drive in the left lane the whole time unless the road is one lanes or it needs to turn right up ahead. I do understand that it is suppose to show how quick and reactive the AI is but it would be better if it eliminated the chance of having to swerve by just driving in the other lane from the start. I still think it is very cool and I do like to see how fast technology is improving and how far it has gone but it can still improve and I hope that it will continue to do so.
