Before ai was really an everyday thing, i went to a comic con in the 2010s and saw this artist whose work all looked hyper realistically drawn in color pencil. Like you can see the grit of the pencil marks. I was so into it i bought one of his larger star wars pieces and 3 of his smaller prints. I dropped the rest of my money on that booth and though i felt disheartened when i found out from a friend he hadnt drawn the pictures, he sets up scenes with action figures, takes a picture and edits it in photoshop. I still loved the way the art looked and i valued his creativity in finding ways to make this style art even if he hadnt drawn them by hand. Its still his vison. I still have the big one hanging up on my wall to this day. But if my ass had walked out with AI art😤😤 lmao. There is value in human thought and ideas, thats what i come for when i buy art at any convention. Not ai slop.
