Artificial Intelligence is a large field, like corporate law. Two subsets are Expert Systems and Neural Networks.
Expert Systems are about Facts and Reasoning. They are required to provide the reasoning behind any conclusion.
Neural Networks are about fiddling with weights until their results match the results they were given on a set of date. No facts are involved. No reasoning is done. The only information available (other than the unconfirmed output) is the weights which are inherently meaningless.
ChatGPT is based on Neural Networks, not facts, presidents, nor reasoning. It makes guesses without any proof. Just what a defendant in court needs.
