This interview was super interesting, still I feel the urge to challenge it. Even if AI can replicate emotions from a cognitive perspective, it will need a cultural shift from the western societies to accept it as a replacement of human connection. In the example of the call center, the truth is that most costumers will perceive the company as cold if they are not well handled and if they don´t feel seen and understood. That can result in loosing loyal clients and only focusing on one time costumers. As far as jobs, abilities such as soft skills and social intelligence will surpase technical skills as these will be easily replaced. So in any case, your ability to know yourself and understand people, to be someone easy to work with and be around will make the difference. In a ego-oriented society were most people seek separation while craving connection, those capable of bonding and connecting will secure a prospect future for themselves and their beloved ones.
