I've never understood the appeal of AI with regards to art. Why would you deny yourself the joy of creating something? No matter how "good" or "bad". If they're not your words, your lines, your images, your anything, then what do you even have? While I stick to poetry, as I can't draw a straight line to save my life, I would sooner spend money on a class than a program that defeats the whole purpose of me doing something.
