I think AI to the medical field is today what literally libraries and the printing press was to science centuries ago: A massive collection of knowledge to utilize. A tool.
I don't think AI should take over the medical field. but there should be AI tools where doctors could insert symptoms and their suspicions and the AI then provides rare illnesses that may be overlooked or simply not thought off by that doctor at that moment.
Patients wouldn't need to doctor hop anymore because they can get the correct diagnosis by one doctor and then be referred to a specialist directly rather than take a trip to 10 doctors each ruling out an illness in their field of specialty.
