In defense of ai art: It takes images and incorporates them into its own style just like how a real artist would take images they’ve seen and incorporate them into their own style. Plus it’s useful for people like me who cannot draw well. I use it mainly to get a visual such as in my DND games or visualizing my OCs. Is a handmade image going to be better? Most of the time yes of course. Passing it off as your own is a whole different story but private use I see nothing wrong with
