Each disruption in history has stirred opposition. Agriculture ended the nomadic life, metals changed war, the heliocentric theory challenged religion as did evolution. The light bulb, car, sewing machine and telephone were widely denounced. Air conditioning and even anaesthesia were slammed as being against god's will for us. It's happening again only this time we recognize historical precedent.
Excellent video but the question remains - why would AI attack us? Humans fight over common concerns - food, water, land, political power, love, etc. What makes us human is not shared by AI - money, sex, job, transportation, housing, etc. Fundamentally it is things like eating, sleeping, sickness, pain, pleasure, curiosity, creation, wonder, music, relationships, language, arts, invention, etc that define us. None of these apply to AI so why go after people?
