Guys, the self driving thing is some California/Texas tech-bro non-sense. Yes it can work okay over there, but try to go elsewhere in North America. Or next level: Europe. Would love to see these cars on more than 10 minutes in Parisian streets, Irish or Romanian roads. Okay still next level: post Soviet countries or the final boss, Asian streets, where something like half of the world population is living. These guys are trying to make you believe they are that close so that you buy share, the hype is important after all, but as a matter of fact, we are decades away from an industrial product. And even assuming that it’s technically possible, replacing a quite cheap taxi driver that takes care of every aspect by an expensive and fragile technology that requires expensive engineers to maintain is not a good business case.
