I’m incredibly curious as to how people got surprised by this. Like… really? I saw ChatGPT 3 and immediately knew what was coming. “It makes mistakes / it’s not up to date with current news / it’s not creative”, was some of the stuff I heard, followed by a confident “I’m not getting replaced”. As if the rapid growth of this thing wasn’t guaranteed. This immense confidence, unless you’re an established elite at your field, is incredibly misplaced. Took my measures to get myself covered, but the fact that it’s taken 2 years and people still get surprised is beyond me.
