Speaking as an AI expert who has worked for a market leader...I can say that his predictions are way off. The main reason for this is that AI needs data and most company's data is dispersed and unmanaged...in short, it is un-catalogued and lacks the metadata and tags needed to provide context for AI. Developing a taxonomy of data is a vast undertaking for enterprises....Before the AI revolution really replaces jobs wholesale there needs to be an information management revolution...In addition, companies are still run by people and the politics in most large companies is incredibly complex, this grossly slows down decisions or the right decisions being made..I'd say we are 5 years away from really seeing mass adoption of generative AI let alone more advanced forms.
